  4. Beautiful. I've heard many people say how early their roses are this year but I don't have a single bloom on any of mine yet. Oh well, there's still the anticipation of what's to come. In response to your comment on my blog, I'd definitely give Temple Newsam a miss, it was so busy. Did you go to Lotherton last year when you said you might? If not, you may want to try there. There's no charge for entry at the moment and it's been really quiet when we've visited. Park in the car park round the back and walk through the orchard to get to the woodland, Ruby would love it.

    1. We did visit Lotherton last year when it was really busy and there were long queues waiting to get in, Jo. Maybe we will try again;

  5. I can't wait until mine start to bloom! Surprisingly, the rose that is supposed to do well in our zone is not doing nearly as well as the David Austin.

    1. It’s been really windy for three days, Margaret so the roses are being battered about poor things.

  6. Beautiful. Strangely (cos I'm not easily moved) I find the top red one quite moving. Must be the way you've photographed it!
