Turning from brown to green

  1. Beautiful, just beautiful. And that rhubarb! I'm missing my allotment this year, especially those first spring crops of rhubarb and asparagus. Lovely to see how well your plots are doing, you've clearly been working hard.

    1. We’ve never grown asparagus, CJ but I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have homegrown rhubarb even as a child,

  2. Your allotment is pretty green Sue. I love the view of neat and clean veg beds. I have no patience to do this.

    1. The rhubarb is huge, Margaret, I always think that the leaves would make great umbrellas,

  7. Everything is so lush and tidy too. I can see that you've put in a lot of hard work. It's hard for me to imagine a green landscape in the summer. The rainy season has ended here so it's turning from green to golden. We tend to avoid describing it as brown, but to be honest that's what it is.

  9. Everywhere is such a wonderful shade of green at this time of year. You only have to turn your back for two minutes at the moment and it seems as if everything's put on a few inches of growth.

  10. It's that time of year, isn't it - although a bit late for both of us, I think.

    1. It’s weird, Margaret some things are late and other things are on time so that the amount of blossom etc all arriving at once makes for a beautiful display
