Beautiful, just beautiful. And that rhubarb! I'm missing my allotment this year, especially those first spring crops of rhubarb and asparagus. Lovely to see how well your plots are doing, you've clearly been working hard.
ReplyDeleteWe’ve never grown asparagus, CJ but I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have homegrown rhubarb even as a child,
DeleteYour allotment is pretty green Sue. I love the view of neat and clean veg beds. I have no patience to do this.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year when the green is so fresh, Nadezda.
DeleteA right rural idyl Sue
ReplyDeleteEven in the midast of an urban setting, Roger.
DeleteLovely, green and leafy.
ReplyDeleteIt is a transformation from a few weeks ago, L
DeleteSimply magic (and a lot of hard graft too) Sue. May is my favourite month of the year.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite time of year too, Anna in spite of not much to crop,
DeleteI thought my rhubarb was big, that is massive! I love the fresh green at this time of year
ReplyDeleteThe rhubarb is huge, Margaret, I always think that the leaves would make great umbrellas,
DeleteEverything is so lush and tidy too. I can see that you've put in a lot of hard work. It's hard for me to imagine a green landscape in the summer. The rainy season has ended here so it's turning from green to golden. We tend to avoid describing it as brown, but to be honest that's what it is.
ReplyDeleteBy mid summer the green often starts to look a bit tired, Michelle.THis tine if year the green is si fresh, If we have dry summer the grass will yellow.
DeleteAwesome update Sue thank you for sharing your lovely photos blessings to both of you
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda
DeleteEverywhere is such a wonderful shade of green at this time of year. You only have to turn your back for two minutes at the moment and it seems as if everything's put on a few inches of growth.
ReplyDeleteThe hawthorn is looking spectacular at the moment too, Jo
DeleteIt's that time of year, isn't it - although a bit late for both of us, I think.
ReplyDeleteIt’s weird, Margaret some things are late and other things are on time so that the amount of blossom etc all arriving at once makes for a beautiful display
DeleteIt is so lovely seeing all the new growth. It's a very encouraging time of year (whispers: Could do with a spot of rain though :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed, Belinda. The weather is never just right for us is it?
