    2. I thought the same that they're patriotic and they remind the colours of the British flag :) Speaking of flags, today is a national holiday of the Polish flag, but unfortunately I didn't prepare any flowers arranged in white and red colours.

      Beautiful photos, Sue! Daffodils are my favorite!

  3. love the white daffs, never had them myself - the yellow makes me extra super happy in spring but yours are gorgeous and very elegant xxxx

    1. I wanted white daffodils for my blue and white border Carrie and they were surprisingly difficult to find. WE ended up with three varieties - Thalia, Silver Chimes, Erlicheer and Tresamble

  4. Lovely photos, and you got rhododendrons in flower already! Mine has fat budes but will need some more warm days before opening up. He is called Dopey though :-)

  5. Is that top photo a Pieris? I used to have a variety 'Forest Flame' that used to be full of lovely flowers in spring but I managed to kill it when we moved here. I've never tried one since but I still love them!

    1. IT is Linda and is Forest Flame. I don't think it would be too happy in the conditions where you are.
