The photograph of the cute reindeer was taken in Carlisle town centre during one of our day trips out. She was stocking up for her busy schedule.
Apparently all Santa's reindeer are female as the males lose their antlers in winter but the females keep theirs so they can protect their young.
Best wishes for a Happy Christmas to all the visitors to both our blogs - thanks for your encouragement and support. I hope you manage to stick with us in 2013.
Sue and Martyn
Merry Christmas to you both. Hope you enjoy your holiday. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya although it isn't off to a good start
DeleteMerry Christmas Sue! It's been great following your adventures this year :)
ReplyDeleteAnna B
Thanks Anna, I enjoy your blog too
DeleteYet another interesting post, best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to you too. (Lets hope for less "rain dear" during the new year)
ReplyDeleteVery good Rooko. We could certainly do with far less of that sort of rain.
DeleteHope you enjoy your Christmas break - make sure the sprouts don't get too soggy. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteI don't think sprouts will be on the menu., Elaine. Martyn is confined to cold food only until the end of December. I don't fancy cold sprouts.
DeleteHappy Christmas/Yuletide and New Year. Don't worry I will still be here next year, lets hope it is a better growing year than this one was. I am going to get the rest of the lpot dug over soon and hopefully will get more in than I did this year. I have lots of seed on order (free thanks to Spaldings) and I also got some for xmas. I also have quite a bit saved up towards a shed, all I have to do is figure out how to get one to the plot.
ReplyDeleteHow to get to the plot is our problem at the moment, Liz
DeleteI think we all desrve a good season next year.
Merry Christmas Sue an Martyn!
ReplyDeleteGoogle permitting, will be keeping tabs on you next year too!
And we you too, Mal. Wonder what sort of bread you'll come up with next?
DeleteHave you a special Christmas loaf e.g. Panetonne or will it be a yule log with a twist?
It's "Kulich" - A Russian panetonne style bread!
DeleteEeek! Just caught up on your news. Hope some semblance of normality as returned by now, and Martyn is restored to good health. You will be needing a holiday after this Christmas!
DeleteWe're at a fingers crossed and hope for the best stage, Mal. But we've been here twice before during last week.
DeleteSanta Claus's reindeer all female?! That can't be right. You'll be telling me next that it should be Sandra Claus, not Santa...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I trust you have a happy and restful Christmas, and don't get flooded out or anything terrible. I look forward to following your hugely informative blog next year. Many thanks too for your enthusiastic commenting on my blog.
'Fraid so Mark. We girls are taking over!
DeleteSo far not very restful I'm afraid - the curse of Christmases past is on us,
Thanks for commenting on my blog too!
Merry Christmas Sue.
ReplyDeleteThanks awpol
