Martyn and I usually try not to post about the same thing on the same day but today is the exception.
Yesterday was 'S' day - in other words it was the day that the summerhouse arrived and it seemed that it couldn't wait to settle into its new home.
At 7:30 in the morning the knock came to the door announcing the arrival of the construction team - I wasn't even dressed but fortunately Martyn was up and ready!
By the time I got downstairs (and I wasn't very long) the work had started. So I sneaked upstairs to take a quick photo.
We were a little concerned that the size of the summerhouse would dominate our garden but everything seems to be in proportion.
Now all it needs is to be furnished - we resisted the urge to sit on the floor to eat our dinner last night - and the area surrounding it needs finishing off.

It looks fantastic, Sue, you must be well chuffed. I think it's design fits in so well with your garden. Now hurry up and get it furnished so that you can enjoy all it has to offer.
ReplyDeleteSorted - we found a couple of chairs and table today!
DeleteIt's absolutely beautiful and perfect for the spot!
ReplyDeleteWe're pleased with it so far Robin
DeleteIt looks perfect - a lovely addition to the garden - I particularly like how it overlooks the pond.
ReplyDeleteWe sat in there this afternoon watching the fish and a visiting frog, Liz
DeleteIt looks great and I love the colour.
ReplyDeleteWe like the colour too - well we would wouldn't we having chosen it - the green seems to make it less obtrusive.
DeleteHappy camping - or breakfasting at least!
ReplyDeleteI did ask Martyn if he was sleeping there last night but he declined!
DeleteBeautiful! Love the look of it. I can just imagine spending many a wonderful hour in there. Enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd today it's raining - maybe we need to build a tunnel up to it!
DeleteOh I love your summerhouse. I immediately ask hubby whether we can have one when we have our own place. I am not a morning person...hahaha...if people come around that early I will ask hubby to entertain while I get dress.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I did Diana - hid in the bedroom finishing off getting ready!
DeleteHow beautiful, definitely worth getting dressed in a hurry for!
