Gorgeous, I haven't grown any this year.
ReplyDeleteWe were going to get more varieties thus year, Jo but the problem getting to garden centres put paid to that
DeleteSuch perfection, especially the pink and orange pom pom type.
ReplyDeleteI like the pompoms too, Deborah, a pompom in the dark red colour would be lovely.
DeleteDahlias are a favorite of mine and yours are quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks tpals
DeleteWhat a beauty this dahlia! I love this color Sue.
ReplyDeleteWhich colour is that, Nadezda?
DeleteOh....stunning. They almost don't look real!xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Dina
DeleteA very beautiful collection. Dahlias are having their day everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be a flower that goes in and out of fashion, Lisa
DeleteAll beauties Sue! They are just beginning to get into their stride here although unfortunately the molluscs have gone to town on the foliage recently.
ReplyDeleteSo far the molluscs haven’t turned their attention to ours, Anna
DeleteI agree with everyone Sue, these are stunners. Dahlias have never been a flower that caught my eye until I went to the autumn harrogate flower show a few years ago and what a display there was. I never knew there's such a variety in flower shapes, patterns and colours. Enjoy yours.
ReplyDeleteThere is certainly a wide variety, Shirley. We don’t grow those with huge flowers any more as they aren’t really good for cut flowers in a normal home setting,
DeleteEvery year I buy some dahlias, but they never bloom. I don't think it is warm enough here. Yours are amazing. I especially love the orange ones.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!! I started mine in the ground (instead of in pots early) and I'm delighted that they are starting to bud out and I should start to get a show soon :)
