    1. It's a long tailed tit. Caro otherwise Or I think a good description could be pompom tit. They tend to fly in flocks rather than singly.

  4. My favourite tit and a rarity in my garden, lovely photos as usual.

  5. They're such lovely little birds. Sadly, they're a bird we never see in our garden.

    1. We get them fairly frequently, Jo but this one was at RSPB Old Moor

  6. You have really captured that bird! BTW I have been really happy with the sunflower kernel feeder as the goldfinches have adopted it, even in preference to the niger seed feeder!

    1. Same with our goldfinches, Mal. We have also had bullfinches, chaffinches, the occasional greenfinch and even more occasionally is siskins. Everyone seems to enjoy sunflower hearts. Even the robin has had a few and the tits too. Glad birds north of the border also enjoy them.

  7. We get small flocks of them from time to time and always love it when they arrive: such cheery, active little birds!

  8. Such a beautiful little bird Sue. We have a small flock of them who visit regularly. Always a delight to see them.

  9. Great capture, Sue - you really did well there as I know how quickly they move on again. We had a group visit a few weeks ago, in and out they went so quick that even my camera on a tripod sitting beside me wasn't close enough to get to. Truth be told, I was transfixed by them and didn't reach for it :-)
