  1. It´s very hot over here, so I envy these polarbears diving into the water, great fun to watch I think.

  3. Beautiful photos, but these bears belong in a cold climate. I wish we could just leave animals in the wild where they belong. That said, at least these bears have some room and water to play in.

    1. I agree in principle, Tracy but YWP do a lot to help with conservation in the wild and through ducation and breeding, The bears are part of a breeding programme. The oldest of the bears has sired 10 cubs some of whom have had cubs of their own. One of the other bears id his grandson. Some animals would face extinction without such breeding programmes. The bears territory at the park covers 10 acres and they have two large lakes with depths of 8 metres. The habitar is set up to recreate summer on the Arctic tundra where temoeratures can reach 26C. This reflects the conditione that the bears live in for 7 months of the year rather than on snow and ice.

    2. It's nice to see polar bears living in wildlife park, Sue. Here in Zoo I have not seen polar bears for years, but I should :D
Do they have enough space to play and swim?

    3. Their enclosure covers 10 acres, Nadezda which includes two large lakes each 8 metres deep. One of the bears came from Moscow.
