Fabulous photos. I'm wondering what that puffin's got in its beak.
ReplyDeleteThey are sand eels, Jo. The hole at its feet is it’s nest hole. It was checking that the coast was clear so it could pop n and feed its young.

ReplyDeleteWe saw more puffins than we have ever seen before, L. There was also a large flock of them bobbing on the water but I couldn’t get a clear enough photo of that just enough to be able to identify them.
