Hope so! The next couple of days are supposed to be lovely down here. First real gardening of the year if it does turn out that way.
ReplyDeleteWe’ve managed more gardening this winter than usual, Jessica. Hope we can get more done in the next few days.
DeleteIt always amazes me how much further along in the gardening year you are than I am once you get started. My snowflakes are about the same condition as your snowdrops.
ReplyDeleteIt's strange, Jane, I always think things are early and then I look back at my photos and see that things are at the same stage as previous years. How many hours of daylight do you have at this time of year? Another possibility is that the bulbs etc need a period of cold to trigger growth.
DeleteHurray! We are in the midst of a couple of snowstorms right now, so am naturally very envious :)
ReplyDeleteI hope that snow doesn't hang around, Margaret
DeleteAwww the first crocus. How beautiful. Your garden is ahead of mine too. I am all excited just seeing the green of the leaves of everything poking out of the ground. We had some delightful sunshine today. I wanted to make like a cat and lay down in front of the patio doors to soak up some rays. We will be back to winter tomorrow, snow and sleet expected.
ReplyDeleteIt's sunny here today too, Lisa but still on the cold side. I love it when things start to flower and bud. I think spring is my favourite time of the year.
DeleteI have never seen the real flowers like that
ReplyDeleteWhat seems normal to you is exotic to me, Endah
DeleteThere has been a definite promise of spring here Sue for the last couple of days or so - enough today to coax some little daffies into flower :) Do you know the name of that beautiful iris ?
ReplyDeleteIt’s Katharine Hodgkin, Anna
DeleteI think spring's arrived, we've had some beautiful weather over the last few days. I think we're going to be in for a shock when winter returns.
ReplyDeleteWe certainly are, Jo
DeleteLovely snowdrops and buds of daffodils, Sue. I hope to see them here too although the snowy carpet is still thick. But every day it melts.
ReplyDeleteWe’ve been lucky in not having any snow yet this year, Nadezda but I hope that I haven’t spoken too soon.
