Just recently when we have managed to get out into the garden or onto the plot it's been a case of doing some tidying.
Partly the tidying has been carried out on three flower beds.
In the garden:
Task - Tidy two flower beds
Time taken - one afternoon
Workforce - one person

I think the word you were looking for is "Blitz"!
ReplyDeleteBlitz implies an element of speed, Mark and work was started on the allotment bed before Christmas!
DeleteMust be so satisfying to see the finished task although time consuming. I tend to get sidetracked even though I make myself a list. Not looking as good as yours yet.
ReplyDeleteIt is, L. The allotment bed has needed tidying for a couple of years. As for looking good we still have plenty of areas that are messy.
DeleteI think Spring clean-ups are deeply satisfying. It looks so "ready" for the upcoming season. A job well done!
ReplyDeleteStill plenty more to do, Sue.
DeleteI made a start yesterday ~ on the Spanish bluebells that infest my garden as they spill over from next door!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a rewarding job to finally get going again after the winter months, isn't it? All starting to look good there after your hard work.
I does feel good, Deborah
DeleteJobs well done Sue. It's that taking care not to step on emerging bulbs aspect that I find particularly challenging.
ReplyDeleteIt's one advantage of smaller feet though, Anna. Martyn is at a disadvantage with his size 10s
DeleteIt's "that" time of year" :). Well done for accomplishing so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jayne, it was the bed we really wanted to sort out most.
Deleteyou remind me to tidy up our back yard soon. it seem like jungle right now.
ReplyDeleteFor us now is a good time for tidying whilst everything is sleeping.
ReplyDeleteI love tidying at this time of year, you can really see where you've been! Much needed here, I've been distracted by a new project whilst the weather is kind.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing this is the one alongside your stairway, Jeaica.
DeleteWhat a difference, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle . It just needs some plants now.
DeleteGood work, its great to get things tidy.
ReplyDeleteTidying that bed was particularly satisfying, Annie. It has been something that we have been desperate to sort out but never seemed to have time for. If we hadn't been anle to tidy it before sowing and planting was upon us, it would have been a mess for another year.
DeleteYour before and after pictures really show up your hard work!
ReplyDeleteThere's still plenty more to do, Mal
