Thank you Jane. More about the robin photos in a later post. We use both greeting in the UK but I guess the Happy Christmas reflects more what I hope for people. I would rather be happy than merry :-)
DeleteFunnily enough, I've never thought of the Merry and Happy like that until a recent conversation with a close friend. She gave exactly the same reason for preferring to use Happy over Merry. For no particular reason, in my recent post I found myself using Happy instead of my usual Merry.
