I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally.

DeleteAnd a very happy Christmas to you both too.
ReplyDeleteThank you CJ and I hope your day passes without incident considering all those knives!
DeleteOutstanding photograph of the robin. Very cheerful. Why do people in the UK say "Happy Christmas" and people in the US say "Merry Christmas"?
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Merry Christmas and than you for the beautful photo.
Thank you Jane. More about the robin photos in a later post. We use both greeting in the UK but I guess the Happy Christmas reflects more what I hope for people. I would rather be happy than merry :-)
DeleteFunnily enough, I've never thought of the Merry and Happy like that until a recent conversation with a close friend. She gave exactly the same reason for preferring to use Happy over Merry. For no particular reason, in my recent post I found myself using Happy instead of my usual Merry.
DeleteHappy Christmas Sue - gorgeous shot of the Robin.
