ReplyDeleteThey are quite common birds for us, Margaret. In fact my sister had a pair in her small garden only the other day.

ReplyDeleteYes, there are two photos of a great crested grebe, Dina. It made life difficult as it kept diving and disappearing,

ReplyDeleteWhen they dive they seem to be underwater for ages, Dina and then they pop up somewhere completely different just like coats and diving ducks do.
