  6. Last February we went to a nursery specialising in Hellebores and were astonished to see they come in such a range of colour shades from golden to virtually black, and in so many different plant habits (short and squat to tall and stately). A favourite plant of the season.

    1. We bought three primrose coloured ones and three nearly black last year SandD but they were only small plants and haven't yet flowered - maybe next year.

  12. I've just bought a pink one with freckles called 'Tutu' - I can't believe I never used to like Hellebores - and even though they are quite expensive to buy they do seem to last forever when they are in flower.

    1. I bought mine as a collection of young plants a few years ago, Elaine so the cost was reasonable and since then they have also self seeded.
