So nice the Hellebores start flowering again, but such a shame we have to go almost flat on the ground to photograph their inside. Beautiful images, spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteThat's very true, Janneke - the same for snowdrops although ours are raised up behind a approx 0;75m wall so more face to face
DeleteA lovely selection. The hellebore I bought in December has been flowering its socks off.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for some to have hybridised, Jo and produced some stunning new colour.
DeleteNice Sue, love the last 2 photos especially. Being seasonally behind you by a few weeks, only got Christmas rose out here and (snap) planned going out with camera when rain stops here. Love hellebores, I do too :-)
ReplyDeleteStrangely our Christmas rose are only in bud, Shirley - I wonder whether slugs are nibbling the buds before they open
DeleteLovely, I nearly bought one at the weekend but resisted temptation. For practical reasons only as I didn't have a final destination for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that you could sneak on in somewhere. Jo :)
DeleteThat's what I'm aiming for, but having bought those plug-plants from Hayloft the other day I think it will be a fair while before I have any as big as yours! I did buy one bigger Hellebore plant because I saw it on sale at a reasonable price, and it had some buds on it, but they show no signs of opening just yet.
ReplyDeleteWe bought ours from excatly the same place and at the same size, Mark.
DeleteLovely pictures Sue, and some sun!
ReplyDeleteTaken Sunday, Victoria
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty flowers in a dreary month!!
ReplyDeleteIt's really uplifting when the first flowers open isn't it, Tanya
DeleteBeautiful photos. They always look so delicate.
ReplyDeleteThey do CJ but like snowdrops are tough cookies.
DeleteHi Sue, you have lovely hellebore varieties. The white ruffled looks especially sweet.
ReplyDeleteI'd love one of those almost black ones Jenni.
DeleteBeautiful flowers! I can't grow it on my home garden, but grow it on my refrigerator:-)
ReplyDeleteThey are cool weather plants, Endah.
DeleteBeautiful! We will see ours in a couple of months.
ReplyDeleteI hope that ours hang on until then, Alain
DeleteGorgeous Sue! Must get some for the allotment and the garden!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, Jill especially at this time of year.
DeleteExquisite, especially the white one.xxx
ReplyDeleteThey are, Snowbird.
DeleteSo nice to see blooming hellebore. I haven seen one in years.
ReplyDeleteGlad to be able to refresh your memory, Leanan
DeleteThe last photos are fantastic. And I've not one single hellebore in my garden!
ReplyDeleteYou should add some, Kelli.
DeleteThis flower is new to me! Very pretty indeed!
ReplyDeleteIt probably wouldn't like your climate, Malar.
DeleteNice plants! I have a couple clumps of these that I have been waiting forever for them to bloom.
ReplyDeleteI hope they bloom soon, Dan,. How long have they been planted?
DeleteLovely pictures : }
ReplyDeleteMine aren't too far behind yours.
I'm guessing they are in the wooded area which will look beautiful when everything comes into flower.
