DON'T FORGET! - Association Meeting 15 July 2007

Can I remind you that the next meeting of the Association will take place on Sunday 15 July 2007 from 2:00 on Jan's plot.

Click here to view the agenda. Please let me know if you have any items for AOB. It would be useful if you were aware of the minutes of the last meeting so that these can be approved as correct.

The last meeting was very well attended - I really hope that this wasn't just a honeymoon period and that as many of you as possible will be able to attend. Please pass on this information to neighbouring plot holders who do not have email or Internet access and forget to check the notice board too

Please let me know if you are able to attend so we know how many chairs we need to find. I hope that the weather has improved by then. If not we may need plenty of large umbrellas!

    As the treaasuer has resigned, wouldn't it be a good idea to request volunteers for the post of treasurer and then vote for the treasurer at the meeting on the 15th?

    Thank you for your comment plot 56.
    The matter of the appointment of a new treasurer will be dealt with at the meeting on 15 June under AOB. As not everyone has access to email or the Internet and the notice board often is not a good way of passing information especially during wet weather, I would prefer to address this issue at the meeting where all interested parties can hear the same information at the same time.
    Obviously if you or anyone else is interested in becoming treasurer, you would first want to know what would be expected of you and this will be explained at the meeting. If you prefer to have this information prior to the meeting I will behappy to discuss it with you personally or alternatively email me.
    As for a vote for the treasurer, can I draw your attention to article 6.9 of the constitution which was passed unanimously at the association meeting in April.
    I must say it is gratifying that you think we would have sufficient volunteers to warrant a vote though.
