Oh well done! I wish I'd had a chance to photograph the allotment on Monday, the scene out of the window from work was amazing.
ReplyDeleteVery like a science fiction scene, Belinda.
DeleteIt was a strange light but a colourful photo non-the-less
ReplyDeleteThe photo didn’t really capture the glow, David
DeleteNicely captured. It really was atmospheric wasn't it. Now I'm left with red dust over everything.
ReplyDeleteIt was, CJ fortunately nored dust here, not that I have noticed yet anyway.
DeleteYes, I agree, great atmospheric capture, Sue. I wish I had thought to take photos as the light was pretty spooky up here too. That snapshot of your garden is looking very colourful at the moment, Sue. I hope you are getting time to enjoy it :-)
ReplyDeleteI don’t think that the photo did the scene justice, Shirley but there are some things that don’t transfer well aren’t there?
DeleteActually it's a beautiful angle of garden
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it, Endah
DeleteIt was storm "Ophelia" that came to UK and Ireland, Sue, I've seen on Euronews TV. The picture of London city and orange sky amazed me.
ReplyDeleteOur sky was a sort of yellow ochre, Nadezda and we had a glowing red sun for a short while. Fortunately Ophelia had lost much of its strength by the time it arrived over West Yorkshire.
DeleteA most atmospheric photo Sue in more ways than one. The red sun was particularly spooky.
ReplyDeleteIt was, Anna, coincidentally one of the varieties of shallots we grew was called Red Sun
DeleteIs this from the day we had ex-hurricane Ophelia here in Ireland? WE didn't get to see the beautiful red sun. But at the same time, we got off very lightly thankfully x
ReplyDeleteIt is, Carrie and we got off lightly too
DeleteIt really was a strange light wasn't it, very yellow here too. The garden is looking great.xxx
ReplyDeleteBrian, has given it a battering today, Dina
DeleteI was in Kent picking up my niece's kids from school when the skies first darkened; it was one of the children that told me what was causing it! It was so strange, almost apocalyptic, and even the next day in London the sun shone pink through the haze. The effect makes your garden look wonderfully autumnal.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine why people in the past saw such events as omens, Caro
DeleteThanks, Malar
