Some of those companions are one you would probably rather not have! This week I have been witnessing some very destructive Squirrel activity in my plot. I suppose they are digging around to find nuts etc that they hid last Autumn.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Mark - we have mouse problems in our garden greenhouse too
DeleteIsn't the wee snail fabulous! {wish they were not so destructive, as they have lovely shells and markings} and I love how the bee is hugging that bloom!
ReplyDeleteThe snail was cute, Deborah - I just wish it would move elsewhere.
DeleteI wouldn't mind a visit from the bee and bird - the snail, not so much :)
ReplyDeleteThe robins have been singing to one another constantly, Margaret. Very cheering.
Deleteall you need now Sue for some of those companions is for a hedgehog to come out of hibernation
ReplyDeleteI'll be looking out for them, David.
DeleteThat's a handsome Tree Bumblebee. Like the robins too. I guess snails are part of the picture too but I hope the robins eat them!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that the bumblebee was a queen, Mal. I wonder whether she will take a liking to my bug hotel!
DeleteThis early it will be a queen. Tree Bumblebees are notorious for adopting bird nesting boxes (which is maybe why they have spread so swiftly in the UK)!
DeleteThough no gardener want to see a snail, you've gotten some marvelous photos of one.
ReplyDeleteAnd love the cheery bird. Robin? I know your robins look so different from ours.
It is a robin, Sue. If you go to Martyn's posthere He has posted a video of him singing so you can listen to what his song sounds like.
DeleteEven the snail looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's rather cute isn't it, Brian
DeleteLove all these pictures! The robins are so bold at this time of the year. Fantastic shots, the snail is fantastic!xxx
ReplyDeleteThe robins are constantly singing when we are on the plot, Dina.
DeleteI don't like the first photo as companion! hahahha... ;)
ReplyDeleteThe rest are ok for me! ;)
