  1. Your plot is still green, Sue. Lovely red leaves and cloudy sky. You had have a lot of harvest here.

  2. This was always my favourite time to be working on the plot, most other people had gone home for their tea, it was always so peaceful with just the birdsong for company.

    1. We were later as Martyn was having a fire. To be honest whenever we go to the plot we are often on our own - it is rare for the site to be crowded

  3. Looks like you have the most colourful plot by far!

  4. Yes, the color of those trees, I think you said they were cherries, is beautiful this time of evening, this time of year. I especially like the second to last photo, the bright cherry leaves, the ripening quince fruit, the wooden shed, the greenhouse, the empty trellis, it captures the essence of gardening at your allotment, doesn't it?

    1. In the photo that you like the red bushes are blueberries, Jane. The trees behind the shed are greengages and plums. The bushes in the foreground are blackcurrants. This is a favourite area. Our coffee break patio is between the shed and greenhouse.

  7. I enjoy this time of year as much as any other, really, when the garden is tidied up and it's time for both the gardener and garden to have a bit of a rest.

    1. It will be some time before these two gardeners have a rest unless it is enforced by the weather.

  9. Sadly with the clocks changing you won't be able to stay so late now.
