That is so wonderfully cheery on this dismal, wet, windy, wuthering day in the west. They really came on a treat, didn't they?
ReplyDeleteThey did Debs - the transformation always comes as a surprise,
DeleteWow-how bright and cheerful--I just love it! Pinks, whites, blues, and yellows--all my favorite colors!
ReplyDeleteI think that plot could cheer anyone!
Have a lovely time in the garden
I was short on red last year Sue so added Linum, I need ti assess the colour balance for next year now,
DeleteThose are so pretty. They must make you smile every time you go to the allotment.
ReplyDeleteI do love it Daphne
DeleteWhat a wonderful mix of colour, it would certainly cheer you up on a miserable day x
ReplyDeleteIt would Jo if we went to the plot on a miserable day :)
DeleteI love your flower bed Sue: the combination of blue cornflowers, yellow calendula and white cosmos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nadezda
DeleteBeautiful - when I grow up, I want to have a cutting flower bed just like you, Sue. Um, 40 has been in my rear view mirror for several years now, so I'm wondering if I can still say that ;)
ReplyDeleteFor me 40 is in the next village Margaret
DeleteOh what a fabulous riot of colour Sue to fill vases with and give pleasure to passing bees and butterflies. Were the seeds a mix or from individual packets and did you sow direct?
ReplyDeleteI sow the seeds In little pots and plant out as clumps, Anna - direct sowing didn't work well for me,
DeleteI described it all on this post
Gosh, how vibrant and colourful, a pollinator heaven too! Win, win!xxx
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly full of buzz Dina
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous colours!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing, (i.e. did you just scatter the seeds?) or, are they mostly grown elsewhere then transplanted?
Hi Anon see my reply to Anna, direct sowing seemed to result in mostly weeds
DeleteYour flower bed makes me so jealous. Lots of flowers and lots of colors too. Fascinating!
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of flowers that we can only dream of having in the garden Endah.
DeleteLovely. Do you cut them for home?
ReplyDeleteI do cut then Jo although at the moment the sweet peas are providing plenty of cut flowers,
DeleteA floral rainbow!
ReplyDeleteThat's the aim Angie
DeleteFantastic Sue, I was going to ask you how they stood up to the rain then realised you aren't having any :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have had a couple of heavy showers which they have survived Rick
DeleteIt is amazing Sue - so much variety and so many colours!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alain
DeleteThat's beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are, Jayne
DeleteThat's a really fantastic result Sue. The proverbial "riot of colour"!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark
