Interesting. The wild flowers at Wisley were all but over a month ago. This is a lovely display.
ReplyDeleteThese weren't flowering last month, Victoria and were the most striking beds there
DeleteSo pretty. I bet they get plenty of buzzy visitors.
ReplyDeleteThere was plenty buzzing, Jo
DeleteLovely, and so very natural looking. It's not quite as easy to achieve as they make it look though I think!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that it was a wild flowers mix, CJ bit they can be disappointing. Maybe they mix their own - I should have read the label.
DeleteIt looks fabulous, especially so late in the season.
ReplyDeleteIt was the starring part of the garden, Jessica
DeleteLooks amazing. I love wildflower beds. Except Queen Anne's Lace, it gives me terrible rash.
ReplyDeleteI do too Leanan, Do carrot tops affect you too. I know the sap of some of these type of plants especially parsnip react to skin badly in sunshine.
DeleteThey look beautiful, so lovely when they're all grouped together like that.
ReplyDeletePity sights like this are no longer common in the countryside, Paula.
DeletePicked up some ideas for your plot then Sue? Those sorts of flowers look best en masse.
ReplyDeleteI agree Mark a meadow of them is stunning
DeleteGreat shots Sue I have a nice photo that I didn`t recognise popping up on my screensaver until I realised that it was one of yours oops now deleted don`t want to infringe your copyright
ReplyDeleteNo problem David but if you sell it I want a cut ;)
DeleteAh....now if only all these had grown in my meadow!!! Absolutely beautiful.xxx
ReplyDeleteAre you trying agai, Snowbird. They sowed on bate earth - no grass.
DeleteIt's like an illness with me...yes!xx
DeleteI think my illness is having fingers that hit the wrong keys or miss altogether
DeleteAwesome Sue thank you for sharing and have a blessed day
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda
DeleteWonderful wild plants, meadow. I think I can feel the fragrance of all these herbs.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos Sue!
There wasn't really any significant fragrance Nadezda so your imagination is adding something extra.
DeleteBeautiful and fantastic! The combination both of flowers and color is so amazing. I love it
ReplyDeleteSo do I Endah
DeleteNature is wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteIT certainly is, Dewbury
DeleteWow ! Lovely, and not beaten down by the wind . Now, how do they do that ... mine get flattened within weeks ...
ReplyDeleteThinking about it, Jane we didn't see much wind damage, if any, there at all. I think all the trees, large shrubs, hedges and walls must give quite a lot of protection. Depending in wind direction it is wooded to two sides and the garden slops away from the buildings down towards the stream and one wooded side.. The last lot of photos were in a fairly enclosed area too.
