I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally.

A stunning display. Mine are way behind.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever taken cuttings? I was told they aren't worth the effort, but they did them on Gardener's World last week and made it sound worthwhile.
I have tried but without success, Deborah. To be honest if the cuttings did root they would take a long time to come into flowering and if I wanted another camellia, I would rather have another variety anyway.
DeleteLovely update mine are not in flower at all only in leave might move to front garden or put in pot ? blessing to both of you
ReplyDeleteThe pink one usually flowers later than the red one, Linda but not this year.
DeleteI’ve tried cuttings and did manage to get them rooted. But you’re right Sue. They are VERY slow growing.
ReplyDeleteLife’s too short, Jessica.
DeleteLovely, particularly the pink one. I assume these are in your garden and not at the allotment, Sue?
ReplyDeleteYou assume correctly, Caro.
DeleteStunning. There's lots of buds there so many more blooms yet to come.
ReplyDeleteI love them, Jo and they are really flowering well this year.
DeleteAwesome, Sue! Love your camellias, it's a pity they don't grow here :-(
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
That is a pity Nadezda
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe hot weather had cut their flowering period short, Belinda
DeleteJust gorgeous, yours are way ahead of mine. Love the pink one, all seem overflowing with blooms, you'll certainly get your money's worth!xxx
ReplyDeleteThe pink one was a 50th birthday present from work colleagues, Dina, They tried to hide it in the art adviser’s room but he came to find me to show me it and ask what it was. You should have seen the face of one of my colleagues. He took me down to see the plant followed by said colleague, I told him what it was and said that if he didn’t find out who had left it there that I would have it! As it happened I did get it.
