I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally.
Comments to posts over five days old are all moderated.
I scrolled up and down and then watched all 51 pictures. So beautiful, the landscape and the red deer, I loved it.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Glad that you enjoyed the photos. Janneke and a Happy New Year
DeleteThe big stag is an impressive beast. Looks like an 8-pointer. Don't they get another point every year? (Sounds like a supermarket's loyalty card scheme!)
ReplyDeleteI used to think that too Mark but it seems that it is connected to testosterone and general power and prowess. After a certain age apparently the antlers diminish in size, They only have one mature stag in the park to avoid problems in the rutting season. I guess soon he will shed his antlers,
DeleteA wonderful set of photos. Love the post title too.
ReplyDeleteI was a bit irritated by the woman who kept telling her child they were reindeer, Jo and kept muttering "They are not reindeer". Almost as bad was her referring to the antlers as horns.
DeleteSuch gorgeous creatures !! Great pictures !
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year !
Thank you Ela you too
DeleteBeautiful animals.
ReplyDeleteAren't they just, Jessica? You wouldn't want one on your garden though
DeleteGorgeous pictures Sue and I loved the 'tone' of your title :)
ReplyDeleteAll the very best to you and yours for 2015 Sue!
Thank you Angie. We were surprised at how much snow there was only 14 miles south of home but it is higher ground, Happy New Year
DeleteStunning photos of gorgeous animals.... Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year :o)
ReplyDeleteThey are and thank you Julie
DeleteLovely photos Sue, and as a Norwegian I see a lot of lovely dinners here – but that might not be quite PC to say?! I am glad I don’t have them in my garden though, I used to have deer walking around eating buds of shrubs and trees in the spring and my strawberries in the summer when I lived in Norway – they can do a lot of damage in a short few hours but boy are they amazing, majestic creatures. Thanks for sharing, and happy New Year to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you Helene and to you, You wouldn't want to argue with the stag would you?
DeleteLove the photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Daphne. Great subjects
DeleteGreat photos sue. We didn't get any snow here in the end.
ReplyDeleteNot much her either, Lou. This was the best way to enjoy it. Take some scenic photos, have a walk and come home to no snow.
DeleteWhat a stunning set of pics, I absolutely loved them!!! Such beautiful creatures, I'm rather envious, and what a lovely snowy setting!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteDo you ever have to deal with any deer, Dina
