I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally.

Our seed potatoes are chitting right now - there's a shortage this year so I'm very grateful that the two varieties I grew last year lasted all the way until now. In fact, we still have a box of Yukon Gold to use up that are still storing perfectly with minimal sprouting.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't manage to get all our usual varieties, Margaret so have doubled up on some. We've never grown Yukon Gold do you recommend it?
DeleteIt's one our favourites. It's an "all-purpose" so just as good for frying/baking as it is for mashing. It also stores amazingly well - we still have some in our cold cellar from last years harvest that are firm and haven't yet started to sprout!
DeleteHa ha Sue. The potatoes I bought in a store are producing shoots as well. You have a lot of space to plant your old potatoes. Happy gardening.
ReplyDeleteWe do Nadezda which is just as well as we use lots.
