I’ve been contemplating a move to Wordpress and have a rarely-used blog on there. What you’re going to do is a good idea. I’ll see how it goes for you then may copy you in the coming months 😌
I had a blog on WordPress but I didn't like it. Because it is difficult to change the title, it is necessary to write in separate places and it is difficult to transfer the text. In addition, I had problems with the photographs, their size. Of course, the blogspot is not ideal, but it is more convenient, in my opinion. I hope you don't have such problems, Sue.
We've been using WordPress for a while for other things, Nadezda such as the Sowing, Harvesting and Diary pages linked from the top of this blog. We seem to have got along with it OK. Martyn thinks that the images are clearer on WordPress, personally I don't see a difference but his eyesight is better than mine. I guess it boils down to what we are used to.
I tried WordPress but after much frustration resizing photos, moving text about, and other inconveniences over several months I gave up and returned to Blogger. Blogger isn't perfect, especially when they change things, but, for me, it became better the devil you know. Good luck!
Martyn really becomes really frustrated with Blogger, Deborah. To be honest I don't mind either but we wanted to bring things together, hence the change.
I moved to Wordpress several years ago and have never regretted it. They all take a little time to get use to. Commenting on Blogger can be problematic even with a google account.
Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment - it is great to hear from you and know that there are people out there actually reading what I write! Come back soon. (By the way any comments just to promote a commercial site, or any comments not directly linked to the theme of my blog, will be deleted) I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally. Comments to posts over five days old are all moderated.

ReplyDeleteMy wife and I have both used Wordpress for some time now. I tried Blogger for a while, but liked the flexibility of Wordpress better.
