I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally.

I have mixed feelings over Harlequins, for while they are voracious devourers of greenfly, I have heard they are cannibals and eat our native ladybird population too. However, it's a great photo.
ReplyDeleteMe too,Deborah but there isn’t much we can do to stop them now
DeleteYes, I've heard that too. Scary beasts, fantastic photo!xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Dina
DeleteThanks for posting this image Sue, I will know what I'm seeing if I see one of these. A more noticeable pattern than the 7-spot. I'm not thinking I want to see any of those here, I like the 7-spot too much.
ReplyDeleteThe harlequin larvae are spiky, Shirley. I hope they leave your garden for the native species too.
DeleteThis is a great photo. Love seeing these little guys.
ReplyDeleteI’d prefer the non harlequin varieties though, Lisa.
DeleteI've never seen before this larva, Sue.
ReplyDeleteWe get lots, Nadezda
