ReplyDeleteIe's a good place to spend and afternoon, Margaret.
DeleteThat big furry cow? bull? Not a breed I would see around here. It is quite the handsome beast. Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt's a cow, Lisa. They are Highland cattle . They were bred to withstand the cold conditions in the Scottish highands. Lots of nature reserves have them to graze and keep the habitats suitable for the wildlife.
DeleteIt sure looks like a lovely place to visit. And I'm glad I wasn't the only one wondering about the cow! Mind you I lived on a small farm for years and neighbors had cattle, but for sure they did not look like that.
ReplyDeleteI love Highland cattle, Dave they are such characters.
