A garden just made for a winter walk. So colorful. I didn't know heather came in so many hues.
ReplyDeleteHeathers are quite a large group of plants, Jane. I think all these are all erica carnea. The leaves as well as the flowers come in a range of colours.
DeleteBet you felt the urge to pollard those dogwoods...?
ReplyDeleteNope, no urges to do that at all, Mal we have enough of our own to deal with. 😄
DeleteGoodness, how splendid!xxx
ReplyDeleteThere were lots of bulbs - not shown here - flowering too, Dina.
DeleteFabulous. February can be a lovely month.
ReplyDeleteIt can, Jessica when the sun is shining.
DeleteAmazing how much color this garden has at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteFar more than in our garden, Lisa.] but they have the space to grow a huge range of plants.
Deletewell, just wow! We don't have any RHS gardens here - they are incredible places and the expertise shines through. Love it x
ReplyDeleteIt’s a shame there are no RHS gardens in your are, Carrie
DeleteI am in love with the second photo. I've always wanted a bed that looked like that! Thanks for the inspiration. It will be another three months before I can try planting a bed that pretty, but a girl can dream.
ReplyDeleteThe sunshine made the dogwoods really shine, Bonnie
DeleteHow fabulous Sue! I've only ever visited Harlow Carr in late summer - it's great to see its winter colours :)
ReplyDeleteThere were lots of bulbs on flower too, Anna, snowdrops and dwarf irises in particular.
