DeleteI love the colours too, David. The centres are fascinating.
DeleteThe textures and contrasting colors are wonderful. Great photos. Beautiful flowers.

DeleteWhat beauties! Not unlike Papaver Orientalis in the centre, but oh! such colours.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Deborah they do have the look of papa ears.
DeleteI’ve just read that one of their common names I’d poppy anemone.
DeleteThese are delightful. You have the prettiest bulbs ever. I remember the Iris reticulata form last year.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane
DeleteVibrant. I have to admit that despite visiting Caen I was unaware of this connection to one of our favourite flowers.
ReplyDeleteIt's native to some parts of southern France so maybe anemone de Cannes would be more accurate.
DeleteWhat beauties! Eagerly awaiting mine....xxx
ReplyDeleteI hope they come soon, Dina
DeleteI love the velvety texture!
ReplyDeleteSo do I Ali and I love the effect at the centre. It's just like a cornonet which I suppose gives then the name anemone coronaria
DeleteWhat a beautiful flower thank you for sharing Sue and blessing to you and Martyn
ReplyDeleteThey are, Linda
