DeleteSuch pretty blooms - at some point, we hope to restore a rocky, weedy area in front of our driveway and I'm thinking Alpine plants will fit the bill in that area.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many lovely alpines to choose from, Margaret.
DeleteI've always enjoyed alpines, and this must have been a lovely treat for you. I will never forget seeing them in the wild country in Iceland, incredible beauty, and the surprise of coming across a single tiny plant, a huge burst of colour, in the vast expanse of a lava field.
ReplyDeleteIt's just a shame that the special.varieties never seem to be offered for sale, Deborah
DeleteWe visited a few years ago when the alpine greenhouse was new, it and the garden was very impressive.
ReplyDeleteIt's our 'local' RHS garden, Brian so we visit a lot.
