How beautiful is this? I love the second photo!
ReplyDeleteSo far two are visiting the sunflower heart feeders, Sarah. I wonder whether we will get bavk to hosting a flock.
DeleteWhat a beautiful face! I'd love to have that handsome fella at my feeder.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a bird with the same name - goldfinch - but it looks very different, Sue. The Victorians kept them as pets. I much prefer to see them flying wild.
Deletelol ~ a Doubting Thomas indeed! What a beauty he is.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to decide whether it is a Thomas or Thomasina, Deborah. Apparently even experts find differentiating a he from she to be tricky and some differences can only be observed by capturing them. If the red wasn't as bright I think I would lean towards a she.
DeleteSo cute :)
ReplyDeleteI love watching them, Jessica.
DeleteWhat a cute little bird! I like the 2nd photo!
ReplyDeleteThey are a very welcome visitor, Malar

ReplyDeleteJessi
Hi Jessi, thanks we do enjoy them.
DeleteThey are always very cautious coming down to the feeders, just like the one in your photo, hopping down through the trees and bushes.
ReplyDeleteQuite rightly so, Brian as we do have a visiting sparrowhawk.
DeleteAdorable !
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteHow delightful is this? I adore the second photo!..What a charming little fledgling!..
