I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally.

Sue and Martyn, Happy New Year to you both. Still New Year's Eve here, 4:23 pm, but it's raining. For us that counts as a great portend for the upcoming year. I've really enjoyed reading both of your blogs this year. From Sue I learned many new words, from both of you many new and unusual at least to me new fruits and from Martyn, well, I'm a weather geek, and love hearing from others about their special weather. Oddly enough our New Year's weather is usually warm (80s), clear and sunny, but not this year. However since the parade and (American) football game are never held on Sunday, it may be clear on Monday, but cold.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued as to what the new words were, Jane. I hope that they were polite. I am glad that you like our blogs. Thank you for your encouraging comments.
DeleteWhat a beautiful photo, absolutely gorgeous light. I'm wishing you and Martyn a very happy 2017 too.
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ I guess it's a bonus of darkness falling early. There has to be some positives!
DeleteHappy New Year 2017 to you and Martyn. May the produce from your allotment be plentiful and the weeds and pests be few! Stunning photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deborah, I echo your sentiments
DeleteHappy new year to my fellow photographers hope it's a good one
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to learning more skills next year, David and hope that you continue to pass on tips.

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to many more lovely photos in the coming year.
Thanks, Sue. I'll try to keep up the supply
DeleteWhat a fabulous view Sue which for some reason looks familiar. Where is it? A Happy New Year to you too! I hope that it treats you, Martyn, garden and allotment most kindly.
ReplyDeleteIt's Fairburn Ings RSPB reserve near Castleford, Anna. It's from the entrance to the newly opened part.
DeleteLovely pic and sentiments. May it be golden for you and yours too.xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dina.
DeleteA happy golden new year to you both Sue. Love the picture.
ReplyDeleteHello again, Sue! Congratulations on keeping your blog so fresh and informative especially after 10yrs. I like your new series of videos. I’ve not managed to keep up (or blog myself) in 2017 due to family stuff and a photobook credit gift (160 pages) which has kept me otherwise PC occupied - time finally expired last night, Phew!
ReplyDeleteI’ll guess you never expected a comment coming through way back here at the beginning of the year I could be well off the mark, adding 2+2 and making 5 but I thought there was a clue in the text below your very fresh New Year image – could it be that 25+25 makes 50 Golden Years for you and Martyn? Wishing you a very special year either way :-)
Definitely made 5 Shirley, we're only just past 40 years. :-) I just meant a golden harvest year. Glad to see you back!
