I am getting quite a lot of spam. It is not published and is just deleted. I have stopped sifting through it and just delete any that ends up in my spam folder in one go so I am sorry if one of your messages is deleted accidentally.

How beautiful :). Hope you have both had a good holiday, x
ReplyDeleteIt was quiet and uneventful, Jayne. Just as we like it.
DeleteGosh, what a gorgeous colour! How lovely to have that blooming indoors...a feast for the eyes.xxx
ReplyDeleteIt is, Dina.
DeleteThanks for e mailing me to tell me you were featuring the lovely clivia you have raised from the tiny plant I gave you.
ReplyDeleteIt completely synchronises with its parent which is in full flower 4 big flowers in our conservatory.
I repotted mine last summer back into its large 8 inch pot. Its in my charcoal/soil compost that I have recently blogged about. Its the best it has ever been
Have you ever managed to raise a seedling using the seeds that have been produced, Roger ? I am thinking of having a go once those seed pods ripn. I did try once with no success.
DeleteWhat a stunning shade of orange {almost a shame it isn't out in the autumn} It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to go look this one up now. I used to take care of my neighbour's Hippeastrums which look very similar, and I have a miniature plant that also looks very similar.
Clivias are a sort of cousin of hippeastrums, Deborah but they are evergreen and don't grow from a bulb. They are smaller too.
DeleteI wish ours were flowering like that, I don't think they receive enough heat in the heated greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteOurs is grown as a house plant, Brian.
DeleteOh this is a pleasant sight, thank you for sharing it. May the blooms last a while and extend your viewing pleasure x
ReplyDeleteI hope the flowers stick around a while too, Carrie
