They last for months don't they, fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThey do Jessica and they are good in a vase too.
DeleteI like flowers a lot, specially on somebody else allotment. On my is just taking the space from vegies. And to be honest they just die on my plot. Even the toughest one will die.
ReplyDeleteFortunately we have the space to spare, Mr P.
DeleteThey are the stars of the cutting patch, flowering for ages and lasting well in a vase. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteExactly correct, Annie.
DeleteLovely
ReplyDeleteIndeed they are David
DeleteA kind blogging friend sent me some seeds and I grew them for the first time and I am very surprised at how sturdy they are . ..they look so delicate . Lovely photos .
ReplyDeleteThey are much stronger than they look. Daisy Debs
DeleteHa! I grew these from seed this year for the first time (in the garden at home). They've only just started flowering a week ago. They seemed so small and feeble that I planted them out all over the place. I should have checked the guide height as the green frond are now 4 ft high and dominating all the beds! Nice flowers though as you have captured.
ReplyDeleteWe have some forming a hedge on our plot, Mal I can't see above them.
DeleteLovely flowers, such a Shane the season is ending and for a while we will only be able to enjoy pictures of them.
ReplyDeleteI know, Tanya we are now turning thoughts to what we will grow next year and cosmos is up there.
DeleteLovely - I'll be getting some of those into one of my garden beds next year (hopefully).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy them Margaret
DeleteBeautiful cosmos! The last picture is so unusual for me.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is a new variety called Xanthos. It is lower growing and has smaller flowers.
DeleteSo beautiful. Cosmos one of my favourite flowers. Always blooms in my garden. I try many times to plant many more colors but always failed. Only the yellow & orange cosmos are resistant with our local weather.
ReplyDeleteThe pinks and whites are more common here, Normala
DeleteGood to catch up with you, good to see the harvests STILL coming! What beautiful pics of the crocus, mine did very badly this year, at least I get to enjoy yours!xxx
