WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteYou really captured some incredible images here, Sue. Very very nice!
Thanks, Sue. I have to credit Martyn with the last two photos though.
DeleteYour photography is stunning Sue.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessica they were very accommodating subjects.
DeleteGoodness, what extraordinary photos! I just loved them.xxx
ReplyDeleteSome creatures that never make it to the rescue, Dina. They are fascinating close up!
DeleteVery nice shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Endah.
DeleteFab photos Sue, I've yet to see any from my little pond and prefer to think that I just miss them x
ReplyDeleteWe have had damselflies round our pond, Jo but these were photographed at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and RSPB reserves.
DeleteWonderful! I think it was you that taught me the difference between a dragonfly and a damselfly...up until then, they were all dragonflies to me :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to have helped, Margaret.
DeleteThey're fantastic photos. I can never find dragonflies or damselflies that will stay still long enough for me to take a photo, you must be very fast with your camera.
ReplyDeleteThese particular ones were spending lots of time basking, Jo and so were very cooperative subjects.
DeleteWow and just wow!! Sue, these photos are absolutely stunning and you must have the patience of a saint to wait for them!
ReplyDeleteIf they were larger I think their 'alien' appearance would make them quite scary !! :-)
We didn't have to wait, Jane we just were in the right place when there were lots around. I always think lots of 'monsters' are based on insects.
DeleteSuch briliiant photos. Great to see such close-ups of these interesting creatures!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annie - they really are fascinating
DeleteFantastic photos, how do you persuade them to stay still long enough!
ReplyDeleteThe only one that didn't stay still for long, Brian was the one that landed on my sun hat. Martyn couldn't get his camera pointed fast enough for that one. In the end we left them to bask.
DeleteWow !!! These are fantastic photos, Sue !!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Thank you, Ela.
