Wow, Sue! Wonderful photos, especially I liked the second one - your shot is stunning.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them, Nadezda,i magine being a mouse and seeing that heading towards you.
DeleteThese photos are stunning Sue, cannot mention a favorite they are all great!
ReplyDeleteThey are magnificent subjects to photograph Janneke
DeleteOh this birds are magnificent. That first owl looks like Harry Potter's owl. They are probably not even the same species but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a bigger bird than Harry Potter's Leanan. His was a Snowy Owl and this is a Great Horned Owl. It gets its name due to having feather tufts on its head which are not visible in flight. You can see them in this photo although they are being blown about!
DeleteFabulous birds !
ReplyDeleteThey really are, Debs
DeleteFantastic photos. We've visited a few bird of prey centres, they're always fascinating.
ReplyDeleteSo have we CJ and never tire of them.

ReplyDeleteThe camera does much of the work, Sue
DeleteFascinating photos. We have a pair of buzzards nesting close by and often see them hunting in the fields that back the house. x
ReplyDeleteWe have recently seen buzzards over the allotment site, Jo
DeleteGreat images, Sue. These displays are great for getting close to these stunning birds :-)
ReplyDeleteI took over 1300 photos, Shirley and it took me about a week to whittle them down to just over 190 keepers. Using a burst many were very similar.
DeleteFabulous photos, especially those of the owls.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo.
DeleteMagnificent photos Sue...I am always really bad at getting good photos of them in flight!!
ReplyDeleteThe displays make it easier Tanya as you have some idea of where they are going to fly to and from. Also these birds very steady in flight they don't flap about like little birds. Then of course there is the advantage of having a burst facility on the camera.
DeleteLovely to see and a great set of photos..
ReplyDeleteAmanda xx
