Oh my, Sue---very pretty. I love the peach poppies---they are a staple in my garden. Funny, though, that each spring I KNOW there will pop up one flaming orange one. A sea of peach-with one garish show-off. Ah well, Mother Nature has her fun with me!
ReplyDeleteYour iris and columbine are also quite beautiful. Enjoy
Maybe you can tweak Mother Nature, Sue and move the show-off to somewhere more appropriate.
DeleteI enjoyed the poppies - not a color we see every day. That tulip looks like it would be friends with my oputia cactus.

The tulip does look prickly, Ray :-)
Deletewow that`s quite a raindrop collection but I am bit miffed that you have a pot marigold out already
ReplyDeleteJUst remembered a raindrop photo that I meant to post on Facebook. David
DeleteThe poppies are such a gorgeous colour. We had some on the plot which popped up in the potato bed like that but the ones I have in the garden are red.
ReplyDeleteI have some annual poppies at pop up (appropriate name!) on the plot, Jo. These are perennials. It's hard to believe that they came from such tiny seeds.
DeleteI agree with David. How did you get Calendulas to flower so early? mine are about 6" tall still. BTW, the dark-coloured Aquilegia reminds me very much of one that David sent me seeds of.
ReplyDeleteThe calendula is self sown, Mark so the timing is all it's own work. It's in the pear bed on the plot.
DeleteOnly today I was thinking that my poppies are very behind and you have just confirmed it for me. I can't even find a single bud amongst the rather seemingly unusually prolific leaves at the moment. Maybe all is not well with my poppies?
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking so lovely and bright with you!
Strangely the ones in the photo are on the plot, Deborah but the 'same' ones in the garden are not yet flowering.
DeleteWow Sue!!! Stunning shots! Especially the tulips and poppies!xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dina
DeleteInteresting colors! Love to see the poppy and iris, so beautiful, unusual color.
ReplyDeleteThe poppy is quite an unusual colour Endah.
DeleteLovely! Our irises are not in bloom yet, but I'm sure it won't be too much longer.
ReplyDeleteThe Dutch rises are further on than the bearded ones, Margaret
DeleteLovely flowers and photos..
ReplyDeleteAmanda xx
Thanks, Amanda
DeleteOh that poppy, really pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt is, Jessica.
