Hellebores? In November? Lucky girl :-)
ReplyDeleteOn Monday I noticed some big fat flower buds on one of mine but at the rate it is raining they will rot before they can open.
For some reason this particular plant always flowers early, Jayne.
DeleteMy December flower is Hellebore and I've noticed lots of buds so I hope they open in time. You're lucky to have yours blooming already.
ReplyDeleteIt's just the one plant, Jo,
DeleteLovely colours still in your garden - most of our autumn leaves have dropped so the main theme in mine is now green framed by brown.
ReplyDeleteJust a few splashes, Margaret
DeleteWater makes them glisten so beautifully. Shame the winds are now destroying everything that is left.
ReplyDeleteWind and rain in the garden is't s good combination, Deborah
DeleteIs that Jasmine Sue? I had better check mine!
ReplyDeleteit is always fascinating when plants mix up their seasons! And a bonus when your hellebores flower early!
Yes it is a winter jasmine, Roger. As for that hellebore it flowers early every year. It's a very precocious plant.
DeleteNice pics. (I'm sure that would ake a great song! )
ReplyDeleteAnd we've definitely felt the power of the rain, Mal
DeleteAs others have said, I'm very surprised to see Hellebores flowering in November. Mine are nowhere near that stage.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why that particular plant flowers early every year, Mark. It's from a collection similar to yours. The other plants in the collection flower at the normal time.
DeleteOh....how LOVELY! In November too!!!xxx
ReplyDeleteI think flowers probably hang on longer than we give them credit for, Dina
