ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the size of the red patch indicates the level of dominance, Julie. If tries this one was up there.
DeleteAwww, lovely photos. My little robin's back in residence again. He goes missing all through summer but returns as soon as autumn arrives.
ReplyDeleteWe had at least a pair over summer and saw at least one youngster, Jo. I wonder what happened to Rocky the Swillington robin?
DeleteNice pictures Sue. Our current robin flew into the kitchen the other night through the open door, and made me jump out of my skin. Strangely since then he has become even more friendly and comes so close to where I am working in the garden that I am frightened of accidently treading on him.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely . Rick. Do you feed it? Unfortunately we had nothing to give this little one
DeleteI don't feed the robin specifically but like many birds he has adapted and can feed from the insect fat-ball feeder.
DeleteLovely little chap, I've spotted more in the garden lately.
ReplyDeleteWe get a few, Jo and squabbling when they spot one another.
DeleteThey are so photogenic, I can't resist taking photographs of them. And they pose beautifully! Gorgeous pictures Sue.

ReplyDeleteIt is a robin Nadezda. They seem attracted to being close to us humans. They see us as an easy meal.
DeleteSuch cheeky little things they are, Sue. Nice images :-) It's getting to that time to stock up in bird foods for the winter ahead... scary!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous aren't they? We seem to buy lots of food all year round. I'll have to carry some round now as I didn't have anything for this little one.
