Yesterday the sun shone a little - it didn't really give out much in the way of warmth but it was just enough to trigger one or two reluctant flowers to open and show their faces.

I wish the sunshine would do something for my bulbs, still not one in flower.
ReplyDeleteThe mini daffodils look to be putting on a bit of a spurt too Jo. Won't be long now!
DeleteI'm working in Jersey this week. No sunshine here. Grey, drizzly and very cold. Don't think I've seen any flowers.
ReplyDeleteI thought Jersey was an English Riviera, Mark and grew lots of early flowers - my image is shattered.
DeleteSuch beautiful photos Sue..warmed my heart to see the crocus.
ReplyDeleteIt is uplifting isn't it Bren?
DeleteGreat photos again Sue. I've got 1 solitary Crocus flowering at the moment. No sun though just more frost.
ReplyDeleteMore out this morning Rooko including yellow ones.
DeleteBeautiful! I love these vibrant colours!
ReplyDeleteSo do I Dewberry
DeleteI always feel such a sense of relief when my crocuses bloom. It's as if Mother Nature finally says, see, there is hope for Spring soon. :) Cheers, Jenni
ReplyDeleteGradually more and more flowers will open now Jenni :)
Deleteits wonderful, isn't it, when they suddenly open up and show their lovely yellow innards.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Janet
DeleteThe sun is working wonders now, even though it's still very cold. Long may it last and a bit of warmth wouldn't be so bad either! My blue crocuses (yes, I say crocuses in plural, apparently you can choose...) are much later than my white, yellow and purple, it's like a second flush when the rest is almost done :-)
ReplyDeleteI second the wish for a bit of warmth Helene
DeleteNot a flower in sight in my garden yet, especially not one so colourful :( Makes it all the nicer to see what's going on in other gardens.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder that spring really is just around the corner - finally!
Linda
I hope that spring does turn that corner, Linda
