Great photos! :) I can imagine the robin singing! :)
ReplyDeleteHe has a lovely vice Dewberry
DeleteBless him. I bet he's changed his tune today, it's much colder here.
ReplyDeleteI think that he needs the sun on his back to encourage singing, Jo and not much of that today!
DeleteOne of my favourite birdsongs - shame its just about territory
ReplyDeleteWe're hoping he will set up home with his mate in a box we have where a web cam is set up, Elaine. The front hole part has been removed specially!
DeleteFabulous photos. So clear! Robins seem to be completely at ease with humans. They often come down to investigate when I'm digging or planting, just to see if they can grab any insects from the soil I'm turning - sometimes within a few inches of my hands.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact he was at the top of the tree with blue sky in the background helped, Mark. Silhouetting was avoided as the sun was shining on his front rather than behind him
DeleteFabulous pictures, much increased bird activity here too.
ReplyDeleteLots of signs of pairing here too
DeleteGreat photos. I just adore robins and every garden seems to have one. They are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteWe had several when the weather was poor Kelli. All keeping their distance but I reckon this one and his mate are staking their claim for nesting rights.
DeleteWow, what great catches Sue.
ReplyDeleteJanet,I have o admit the first shot is mine and the second was taken by Martyn.
DeleteGreat photos Sue. We have a regular Robin visitor too. Fingers crossed for them nesting in the cam box...that will be great to see.
ReplyDeleteHe's still singing despite the weather, Tanya - bless him but no sign of anything setting up home in the cam boxes yet.
