If you want a good climbing bee plant common ivy would be hard to beat - ours is flowering at the moment and it is swarming with bees and wasps. I'm not sure what type it actually is as it was given to us by someone who has a penchant for growing from pips from supermarket fruit. It eventually succumbed to a very hard winter. I think I might give it another whirl. Yours does look fantastic but as to eating it? The best I can say that it isn't poisonous but yuk!
