Day out at Pensthorpe

We had a couple of days break to Norfolk this week and spent one day at Pensthorpe. - These were some of the characters that we met.
Bearded Tit

  3. Your photos are wonderful. It's so interesting to see the Oyster Catcher, we have them here but their feathers are entirely black, not one speck of white, but the eyes and bills and legs are the same.

    1. It does have amazing colours and patterns, David. A guy sporting a camera with a two foot lens said that I’d never get a photo of a bearded tit unless I was shooting at 1/100 of a second. Wish I could show him that I did.

  7. Lovely photos sue, pensthorpe is a great place to visit, we try and get there every couple of years. I like the more 'countryside' areas too, a bit further from the main visitor area. Oh and a tip for next time...try and get hold of a Norfolk Days Out discount brochure beforehand as they usually have vouchers for money off admissions :)

    1. We had a trailer ride around some of the wilder parts, Lou as we only had the afternoon there we didn’t have time to watch;k around the whole site. Thanks for the tip.

  8. Oh Pensthorpe must be a great place to visit Sue. If my memory serves me right there's some excellent planting there as well as all those fascinating birds.
