  5. Oh wonderful. Such fantastic photos, I am really impressed. I suppose they must fly away soon. Sigh. But then we will have the winter birds back which will be lovely. And so it goes.

    Absolutely adorable, and what amazing pics, so clear and detailed. It's not easy to capture a swift, fledgeling or not.

    1. It's quite difficult to distinguish colours when looking at the sky but I'm pretty sure that they are swallows, Snowbird. We had the advantage of seeing more of them at close quarters as they whizz around the houses. Also I did try taking some photos from an upstairs window where I was closer to them but the resulting photos were a bit blurred. I've never seen swifts round here just swallows and house martins.

    We have them flying all over but never manage to get a picture of one.

    1. We were just lucky, Linda that they chose to land on the telephone wires near our house and were there when we came back from the plot. We haven't seen them since.
