  3. No idea..but I did realise how peculiar the birds face looks after studying the photo for AGES...of course I am still none the wiser...we are all probably going to kick ourselves in the end though!!

    1. The bird is real though Tanya. It was photographed at the RSPB reserve Blacktoft Sands on the Humber estuary

  4. I have an idea: the bird aerates the soil with its beak between the daffodils :) No.. I'm just guessing.

    Is the Daffodil 'Jack Snipe'? Could be the link?

    1. It's right Elaine - pity we hadn't a photo of the bird Jack snipe which is smaller than a snipe then the names would have been exactly the same.

    1. The bird is a snipe, Malar and the daffodil variety is Jack Snipe.
